Expected progress in Maths is calculated by using the levels achieved by students in Maths at the end of Year 6. Students who achieved a Level 4 in Maths by the end of Year 6 were expected to achieve at least a Grade C in their Maths GCSE, while students achieving a Level 5 by the end of Year 6 were expected to gain a Grade B.
Meanwhile, students who achieved a Level 4 in Maths by the end of Year 6 and achieved a Grade B-A* are considered to have made above expected progress. This is also the case for those who achieved a Level 5 by the end of Year 6 and gained a Grade A-A*.
