Our Studio and Staff:

The Muddy Publishing studio is located on the Middleport Pottery heritage site and a 10-minute walk from Longport Railway Station which visitors and team members are encouraged to use. The building is modern, proficiently insulated and has electrical energy provided by efficient air source heat pumps. We have sensor lighting in parts of the studio to save energy, and we encourage switching off lights and computers when not in use. We have a hybrid working policy throughout our team to reduce travel and client meetings are encouraged to take place online. All members of our team have completed, or are scheduled to complete, the Albert Sustainable Production Training.
Before the commencement of large projects, we complete an Albert carbon footprint calculation to measure and improve our carbon impact. We also try to use local supply chains and contractors where possible.

Within both the studio and on-project, we aim to keep waste to a minimum and recycle as much as possible, we also seek to buy recycled and recyclable paper products.

The shop products we create in our studio are produced on a small, sustainable scale in an on-demand system which reduces waste. We make responsible choices for our stock items such as a responsible and fully traceable t-shirt, tote bag and sweatshirt supplier with GOTS certification (Global Organic Textile Standard Label). Online orders are packaged responsibly with recycled packaging where possible and the use of single-use plastic is avoided.
