We were thrilled to be commissioned by the Canal & River Trust to develop a collection of resources to support the Toddler Water Safety Campaign. The project included the creation of a video featuring animated characters and voiced by YouTube and CBeebies personality Maddie Moate.
Our role in the Toddler Water Safety Campaign involved filmmaking, animation, script writing and graphic design. The film footage captured families feeding ducks by the waterside and staying away from the edge. We enhanced the film by adding playful animated characters designed by our experienced illustrator Matt Buckingham. In addition, we created a collection of resources and learning materials for nurseries, EYFS education centres and parents/carers. The activities were designed to encourage conversations about river and canal water safety. To support the activities we created a guidance document for adults who want to find out more about how to use the resources and expand learning opportunities.
We created a range of marketing material to help to promote the campaign. This included postcards and duck food envelopes.
